FOR SALE - GRAMPUS
BR Grampus Ballast/Engineering Wagon DB 986248 -
Located at the Epping Ongar Railway, this vehicle is now listed for sale following a review of
suitability for the line. It is unfitted but has had a vacuum through piped attached, although the
hoses and the hose couplings will be removed and are not included in the sale.
It was restored by its previous owner in the early 2010s with a new floor before being sold and
moving to Essex. The drop side doors open with ease. It has primarily been used for storage but has
occasionally run in freight trains, the most recent occasion being in June 2022, but is fairly regularly
moved during shunting activities. A wooden frame supporting ex-GWR open wagon tarpaulin cover
are included which have been used to keep the vehicle and its contents dry.
The vehicle currently contains a number of parts for a class 45 and as such it will not be able to be
collected until those have been removed when being refitted to the locomotive, which is due to take
place during the spring/early summer.

FOR SALE - BR STANDARD BRAKE VAN
BR Standard 20T Brake Van B951338 -
Located at the Mid Hants Railway, the vehicle was operational until late 2010s when water ingress
through the roof took it out of service. With no spare capacity to restore it on the MHR it is now
surplus to requirements, it is largely complete but requires body repairs and a replacement roof as
this has started to sag quite severely. A tarpaulin has been put over the vehicle (as pictured) to try
and reduce any further ingress and allow the roof to dry slightly.
Grab rails and lamp irons have been removed and stored but will be included in the sale. The
vacuum brake setter and gauge are also still fitted and thus are included in the sale, but the stove
has been previously removed and disposed of at some point.
Currently at Medstead & Four Marks station, it is due to be moved to Arlesford sidings at some point
in the coming weeks. It is my desire to see this vehicle remain in heritage rail use and not be
converted for glamping and thus interest will be prioritised to that end.

Telford Steam Railway - MK3 SLE 10676 in Danish State Railways Livery.
This vehicle has been used for static volunteer accommodation for several years. It is now surplus to requirement.
Interior is mostly complete but the toilets were taken out and replaced with a small kitchen area (incomplete).
It is currently sat on the incorrect bogies (EMU Commonwealth Bogies) and most of the underframe equipment has been removed.

Available for loan/hire or possibly a sale would be considered. Mk1 courier van 977905 (formerly BSK 35292). On B4 bogies and dual braked / dual heat. Retains a toilet and 1 compartment, guards compartment and luggage area. Passenger doors are cast aluminium and in general the bodywork is reasonably good. Moved mainline a few years ago to its current location. Absolutely ideal for a conversion to an accessible coach or even back to a full BSK. Some spare matching window frames available if required.

Believed now unique survivor of diagram D1675, built at Wolverton 1933.
Unfitted. Built with flat doors - later builds had angled doors and longer wheelbase.
Requires a complete rebuild likely to include new kerb rails, welding on the corner posts, all new wood. Brake cross-shaft is bent, however a spare (off a fitted wagon) can be included with the sale. Currently lying at Swithland on the Great Central Railway. Will be emptied of stored materials prior to sale. Open to offers.
