FOR SALE - GWR COACH
GWR wooden bodied Toplight coach No 3668 needs a new home.
GWR coach No 3668 needs to be removed from its current location at Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway. GWR Toplight 3668 was built in 1909 as a compartment third to diagram C28 at Swindon and converted to an ambulance coach during the first world war. It was converted back to a compartment third coach in 1922 and remained in service until 1957 when it was converted to a camp coach and placed at Blue Anchor. Purchase by WSRA in 1997 then refurbished and updated by volunteers then placed into service as volunteer accommodation in 2000 at Bishops Lydeard.
It has now been withdrawn from use and needs to be found a new home. It is complete with running gear, steel underframe, buffers and brake equipment. The wooden body had been rebuilt on both ends and the corridor side during the update in 1997 however the non-corridor side is mainly in the original style of compartment doors and windows. As currently configured, the internal layout is as follows:- Main access into Kitchen leading to Lounge then a side corridor providing access to 3-bedroom compartments and a toilet with secondary access from the end of the corridor.
Extensive work would be required to render the coach suitable for any static application ( garden office, holiday home, themed catering or sales outlet, glamping etc). If intended for further railway work; a total re-build would be required.
Approx 57ft long x 9ft wide x 12ft 9” high - 27 tonnes. Can be lifted complete from current location and loaded onto suitable road transport.
A new home needs to be found urgently otherwise the coach will be broken up for spares.

FOR SALE - ex MOT WAGON, NOW FLAT
Historic wagon for sale. To the best of my knowledge, this wagon is the sole survivor, from a batch built in the late 1930's. The chassis was destined to go to France, with about 2000 others. Hence the continental axle boxes. France fell to the Germans. Most of the wagons stayed in the UK & became iron ore hoppers. For the Ministry of Transport.

FOR SALE - GRESLEY COACHES
The Epping Ongar Railway are seeking expressions of interest for Gresley Buffet No. 24082. The interior was stripped by the previous owner before moving to Ongar, but hasn't been touched in the last decade. It was previously sheeted and stored in the 'tin' shed at Ongar, but was shunted out last year to allow other works to happen undercover. During the recent high winds the sheets have come off. This coaches will currently only be available to interested parties who have a genuine interest in restoring it, and will not be broken up for parts. A spare set of bogies is also available.

For further details, or to express your interest in the first instance, please contact Michael Drew -michaeld@eorailway.co.uk.
